We all encounter open proximal contacts in the posterior. These open contacts can cause fast & devastating failure to the teeth and supporting structures. Understanding what caused them, and ultimately how to resolve them, is a great tool to have as a general dentist.

This course will explore the different causes of posterior open contacts & different solutions specific to the different causes. Ultimately, we will discuss the direct composite solution, focusing on preparation design, tools, & techniques to ensure effective, long-term restorative solutions to this pesky problem.
